Position Overview: Financial Analyst

United Bags, Inc. is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will transform data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making at every level of the organization. You'll partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate financial performance, strengthen business operations, and help guide the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and present financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses that inform strategic and operational decisions

• Analyze sales performance, cost trends, and profitability across diverse product lines and customer groups

• Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying emerging trends, risks, and opportunities

• Collaborate with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to create financial models and scenario analyses

• Conduct detailed inventory and cost analysis to guide pricing strategies and improve margins

• Provide ad hoc financial analysis for special projects and company initiatives

• Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with internal financial policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis; manufacturing or distribution industry experience is a plus

• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling)

• Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems

• Solid understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Exceptional attention to detail and comfort working with large data sets

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ERP/accounting platforms

• Knowledge of inventory or cost accounting

• Familiarity with GAAP and financial compliance standards
